Salvation

God’s Free Gift of Salvation

Dear Friend,

We live in a fast-paced world that’s filled with idolatry, wickedness, evil and sin. There’s confusion and uncertainty at almost every turn. Our life here on earth is but a bus stop, a vapor compared to all eternity. One thing for certain is that we all will die one day and more than anything I would like you to know for sure where your soul will spend eternity.

In the beginning, God created man and man disobeyed God and sin came into the heart of mankind. This produced a separation between God and man.

But in God’s infinite love, He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to earth born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life – was crucified, DIED, and was BURIED. He then ROSE from the dead for you and me. He paid the ultimate price for our sin, spilling His blood, on the Cross of Calvary so we could receive the forgiveness of our sin and after we die, live with Him in eternity forever.

If you would like to receive God’s free gift of salvation then read the ‘Roman Road’ – selected scriptures from the Book of Romans. Then pray the prayer at the end of this message. This is the most important decision you will make in your lifetime.

The Roman’s Road

#1. Everyone needs salvation – for we all have sinned –

Romans 3:10, 23As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:… 23- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

#2. The consequence of sin is physical and spiritual death –

Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

#3. Jesus Christ died for our sins. He paid the ultimate penalty and price for sinners –

Romans 5:8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

#4. In freedom, we can receive salvation and eternal life through believing and confessing that Christ died for us –

Romans 10:9-13That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  10- For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

#5. Salvation in Christ gives us a peace with the Almighty Living God –

Romans 5:1 –  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

#6. No Condemnation, no shame –

Romans 8:1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Salvation Prayer Steps

The Roman Road is a Biblical path wherein you can find salvation in Jesus Christ. God is spirit, unseen but most definitely there. Will you accept Christ as your Savior today? If so, pray to God right now and:

  1. Admit you are a sinner and ask the Lord for forgiveness,
  2. Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God who died for you at the Cross and then rose from the dead,
  3. Repent of your old life of sin into a new life in Christ.
  4. Call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved.

Sample Prayer

Almighty God, I __________ (fill in your name) pray to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I admit that I am a sinner and today I want to confess and repent of my sins and the sinful life that I have led. I ask now in the name of Jesus for your forgiveness.

I ___________now confess with my mouth that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the Cross of Calvary and then died for my sins. I believe that God raised Him from the dead and is alive today.

Thank you Lord Jesus for your love, mercy, and grace which has saved me from my sins. I want to live for You now.

Thank you my Lord and now Savior Jesus for dying on the Cross for me and giving me eternal life. Glory to God and Amen.

If you have prayed this with a sincere heart, you are now saved and are part of God’s heavenly kingdom. God requires that you turn away from your [previous] sinful life and follow Him. This means walking in a holy lifestyle according to His word. And only by living an obedient and repentant life will you be ushered in to heaven when you die.

Have faith in Christ to be your strength; His love, grace and mercy are always there and He will be with you and His Holy Spirit will guide you. Trust in Him everyday.

 Welcome to God’s Family!
