Bible Prophecy Commentary – Deceptive Russia and Cursed America:
As I've indicated before we need to be very concerned and very cautious about Russia. They are a formidable foe with a ton-load of firepower at their command. More so, I believe, than America. And with America downsizing their military structure and machine we are not prepared as we once were (check out last 2 above links). And this should be very alarming to all Americans.
Putin being a former KGB officer specializing in misinformation he may be up to some of his old tricks. We just don't know at this point however, as I've said before we need to watch him and watch Russia. Watch their military movements and overflights. As one article stated above they've increased out-of-area patrols in 2014 more so than any Cold War year. What's he up to? Toying with us? Deceptive?
Russia is, IMO, lining up for a future conflict perhaps with America and Israel. I fully believe that if they attack the US, we will not prevail and will suffer much loss. Why? Sin, sin and more unrepentant sin! We have been blessed abundantly since our birth but now we have shunned Almighty God and turned away from Him. He will judge us, rest assured of this. Just because we are a prosperous and just because we are America does not mean we are exempt from His judgments.
America Blessed but Now Cursed
Some will say that the scripture below is directed only at Israel but I will disagree. Since America was founded upon Almighty God and our leaders created a covenant with God, I fully believe that we are under the same blessings and … cursings.
Consider what President George Washington's stated in his inaugural address of 1789 – here. Note his statement – "Since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained: " America has disregarded now for some time the eternal rules or right – in other words, God's Holy Bible, especially the Ten Commandments.
And then consider what President Washington and the signers of the Declaration of Independence penned in its last sentence (here) – "And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor." So we must consider that we declared from our nation's highest office when we were born, that we were bound to Almighty God's Providence and this I believe is not to be taken lightly for – Psa 33:12 and Psa 144:15.
"But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: 16- Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. 17- Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. 18- Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 19- Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out. 20- The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me." -Deut 28:15-20 (KJV)
