It’s Time to Get Serious in Your Faith, and Where You Stand in the Lord: The Time May be Very Short

The Earth is Being Shaken – Nature, Society, Nations, People

“The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.” -Prov 27:12 (ESV)

When you plan for a vacation or trip, you will usually prepare in several ways. You will usually gather maps, destination information, time estimations to arrive there and many times if a long trip you will accumulate provisions to take and provide for along the way. How many times have you started out on a trip not sure where you were going, how to get there nor how long it would take? How much more then should a Christian know their Bible, plan and prepare for what is described as a perilous (2 Tim 3:1-5) and dangerous time (Book of Revelation) ahead according to Bible Prophecy? Folks, this is no joke nor is it just words written in a Book. This is from Almighty God: He doesn’t kid, He doesn’t play, but He is serious and His words always come to pass.

Many believers go to church every Sunday and often times mid-week and sit there and never hear about what Jesus said is coming. Why? Pastors fail to teach/preach this Biblical truth for fear of offending anyone or they possess little knowledge in this area. Or do we just cover our ears and flee from facing the hard facts of what this world is becoming and it’s now changing at record speed? Perhaps we go only to church to hear only happy and positive things about Christianity… You know so we feel good about ourselves but never hear the real stinging truth about our sin and lack of repentance.

As a result many are not prepared in the heart, mind and soul for what the Bible says will come in the last days.

Friends, those days are here now! If you think I’m nuts then please look around and observe what’s happening in the world. Deceit/deception is here, hate and lawlessness are raging, nature is in extreme birth pains, weather is extreme all the time and just about everywhere, wars are going on, people are killing one another, and Christians are being murdered ruthlessly by radical Islamic beasts. These things are all prophesied for the last to the last days, the days since Israel became a nation in one day (Isa 66:8) in 1948 and Jerusalem was back in Jewish hands – 1967. God’s timeclock started moving again when the fig tree (Israel) budded and nationhood was granted – Matt 24:32.

Things are going to get tough, really tough and if you are not prepared you will likely perish! Yet many will say of this, “This is bunk, fear-mongering humbug stuff!” Really?  Most people, even Christians, can’t be bothered with the thought they would have to prepare for bad times ahead – that it would happen in their lifetimes. They think things are just like they’ve always been and they will just keep dancing with the regular church-going mundane and ritualistic routine: unengaged, head in the sand, oblivious to rising calamitous and dangerous world events. I personally know people that write off the tensions in the world because they can’t handle the bad news. Friends, these people will have a very difficult time as the days grow more grim.

WARNING: Pastor’s – you had better start teaching the whole truth of God’s word and get your flocks prepared – physically, emotionally and spiritually.

“But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” -1 Tim 5:8 (NASB)

Prepare-

Here is question for the lethargic and apathetic What will you do when a global war breaks out like we’ve never seen before? What will you do when the global economy crashes? What will you do when food gets very scarce? You will have an extremely difficult time making it once things start going south. But what are you doing about it? Something…? Nothing…? Or are you just taking it easy, no worries and thinking things are the way they’ve always been – it’ll all straighten out – relax.

Now is the time now to prepare, not when the electricity goes off or banks crash or society breaks down and riots start.

How will you provide for your family? What will you say to them when the grocery stores are closed and your meager 2 day food supply in your cupboards runs out? No food or water left and they are hungry?

Now is the time people! Buy long-term storage food – freeze-dried (hey, it’s food) and bottled water. Lots of these things. Matches, blankets, a propane-powered camp stove with plenty of extra tanks. The bottom-line is to get prepared. Family and friends … are you listening??

I am sounding a warning klaxon that things we take for granted today – food, water, power, transportation, communications may disappear quickly and without notice. Why do I say this? Just read the news! It’s all over the place. War drums are beating louder and louder from China, Russia, Iran, N Korea, etc. NATO/US are building up forces and equipment along the Baltic states border with Russia like never before.  Russia is moving forces and equipment against these along their border.  Massive forces and equipment are being positioned in S Korea to counter any N. Korea attack. Folks, these facts are glaring and should be red flags for all of us. Physical preparation is necessary but even more critical is our spiritual prep.

The Most Important of Prepping!

Are you and your family prepared spiritually for the days now and ahead, Do they know about Jesus (I mean really know who He is?), how about eternity, you know – heaven, hell? Or are you too ‘secure’ in your own Christian comfort and wisdom to talk about these things? C’mon, now’s the time to answer these questions.

How’s your relationship with Almighty God? I’m not talking about your church attendance or your friends there. I could care less about how frequently you attend. I’m talking about your personal one-on-one relationship with Jesus Christ. Just you, standing alone face-to-face with the Lord. Do you have this relationship? If not, now is the time to get right with Him in your soul – your spiritual person. Are you walking and talking with and to Him … daily? What’s He speaking to you through His word – the Bible?

Let me give you a three question litmus test for your [faith] relationship with the Lord … (1) How often do you pray to Jesus? (2) How about your quiet time just with Him? (3) How often do you read your Bible? One minute a day, 2 mins, 5 min a week, or not at all? If you do these things rarely or not at all then you are a Christian in name only and you had better amend your ways (repent) and get right with Him today. Yes, tough talk, but in our present world we all need this!
