Bible Prophecy Commentary: Black Plague –
This disease and it’s surrounding sequence of events is getting worse by the day. And let me just say that if they “dance” with the dead then they are dancing with death. This is insane!
The last days before Jesus Christ returns will not be pretty or painted with the happy-go-lucky picture most modern day Christian churches depict. We, according to God’s word, will be hit with all kinds of disasters and yes, I fully believe, we Christians will go through some terrible times. However, according to God’s word, we will not go through His wrath – 1 Th 5:9.
Friends, it’s required for us to be aware of what the Bible says concerning things like pestilences, plagues, storms, whirlwinds, earthquakes, terrible shaking of economies, nature, the earth, etc. If your church is not teaching these things it’s incumbent upon you to ask why. Pastors today must preach about Bible Prophecy – what’s here now and what’s to come. They must do this with all sense of urgency and haste. But, I’m afraid to say, most pastors are chickens and cowards when it comes to preaching and teaching about what the Bible, what the Lord has warned for it will scare the people out of the church. In fact, according to some recent statistics, most Christian pastors don’t believe in the rapture – they replace the literal belief of the Lord’s return with a symbolic representation – a non-actual event.
Already, almost 100 people have died in Madagascar of this hideous disease. It kills fast! Some 50 -100 million people worldwide died of the Black Plague in the 1300’s. This strain of this plague is particularly bad – it’s pneumonic meaning it can spread through just coughing. Will it expand from that island? We don’t know but to them it’s bad. “No one is safe” claims one of the doctors.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Rom 10:13 (KJV)
Folks, the big question for all of us is … (and one you probably won’t hear in your church) but are you ready to die and meet the Lord and enter His eternal rest or … stand at the gates of hell ready to enter its eternal terror? Yes, a startling question but oh so relevant these days. Do you know the Lord as your Savior, as your Lord, as your King? If not, now’s the time to call upon His name and be saved – Rom 10:9-13.
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh … Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” -Luke 21:28, 36 (KJV)
