Bible Prophecy Commentary: Pestilences –
The Lord says that in the last to the last days pestilences would come and even more so via the Pale rider of Rev 6. No, I don't think we are there at this time. But these nasty pestilences keep hitting the world populations. Yesterday and today HIV, also currently Zika is on the move, previous Ebola was killing people and there are more out there just not being highlighted in the news (source).
"And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven." -Luke 21:11 (KJV)
Now the US is feeling the sting of Superbugs – drug-resistance infections. Bacteria resistant to antibiotic drugs.
"When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth. " – Rev 67-8 (ESV)
I believe as the time draws closer to the Lord's return, the four (spiritual) horse/rider judgments of Rev 6 (Four Seals) will advance with all kinds of calamities, diseases, disasters, and yes, death. No gloom and doom just echoing what the Bible says and churches preach little of. It's not time to be scared but be prepared – in your heart, mind and soul. Are you?
