Bible Prophecy Commentary: Our God is a Consuming Fire –
Calif is one of the most immoral states in the US. Yet they are not alone in the sin-ridden crowd that makes up America now. Chicago is one of the worse for murders, violence and evil. The stench of Washington DC's political pollution rises high into the sky. And many more join this cadre of wickedness and lawlessness. These cities have a nested infiltration of spiritual darkness and that is being manifested in tremendous ungodliness, gross immorality, crime and harm to other people.
So is the filth playing out in this nation contributing to the reasons for all the wildfires and drought? Could Almighty God be sending His remedial judgments against the plethora of blatant unrepentant sin that CA promotes and sanctions? It cannot be said that this is the Hand of God for sure but … when you look into the Bible and see what He has done in the past, well, maybe this could be the beginning of even worse judgments to come. But not just in CA, all over the US sin rages on in intensity and people now are complicit in the sin cesspool infecting this once great land. People thumb God in the eye through many forms of poisonous sin: idolatry, evil, worshiping other gods, greed, lust, sexual immorality, etc.
“For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God” -Deut 4:24; Heb 12:29 (KJV)
Washington DC is also engaged in heavy-duty political corruption. Think I'm kidding…? Just look a the joke and embarrassment of this 2016 Presidential Race. Sickening! And no candidate is good – both are evil and will make America even worse than it is right now.
Is God looking down on America like He began to with Sodom and Gomorrah? If so, we have a bleak future in store. Now, He will relent any judgments He has decreed if people including our national leaders will turn back to Him in sincere repentance and turn away from their unGodly sin. Yes! But will they? Highly unlikely since the sin-hole has grown ever so deep and people are liking it so much that to turn back to God's ways – ways of purity and holiness – would almost be impossible.
We are experiencing fire, drought, flooding and extreme weather like never before. All this is for a reason folks. Now is the time to consider this and renew your relationship with Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Christ). For it's time to know who God really is and not lean on the pretty harmless, de-fanged God that our Christian churches love to talk, preach and teach about.
Think God is not about fire and punishment for those that do not follow His word; those that do not obey Him? Read the next verse.
