Bible Prophecy Commentary: Pestilences –

It seems that the Zika – mosquito transmitted – virus is on the rise for this spring and summer in the US. It also is apparent that the yellow fever outbreak is spreading quickly across central Africa. These are dangerous diseases lingering at our door, especially with summer coming to the US and people spending tons of time outdoors.

So how can you avoid or take defensive measures against a mosquito bite – they can be anywhere. Read here for some precautions to take.

Could these pestilences (miniature wild beasts) be forerunners of what is to come with the Fourth Seal of Rev 6 being broken and unleashed? The Pale horse – rider and follower – will deliver nasty judgments to mankind. In fact, as a result of the four payloads he is carrying, one-quarter of the earth's population will extinguished. Now we don't know when this will happen but the Lord God Almighty always gives warning before He sends judgments.

"When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8 And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth." -Rev 6:7-8 (ESV)

So who's listening and who's watching? Who's taking notice of what's happening on the earth?

The ones that are complacent and lethargic (I know many like this) will be caught unaware and unprepared.

Those that take heed and keep in the know will be better prepared to weather the storm that is coming. So where are you today? Are you saved?

If your name was called today into eternity would you be prepared to meet the Lord? Are you prepared for where your soul will end up for all eternity – that is, heaven or hell?

These are sobering questions that many don't want to face because they are "negative". Better to know now where you stand and have the opportunity to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior living with Him for eternity in heaven rather than being shown the door to hell. (Yes, I know some very difficult words but they must be said).
